Beer Review: Greenfield American Light Ale

This was the second beer that I had tonight. I coined this "my dessert beer" because I drank it while my companions ate their dessert. The Greenfield American Light Ale is a light beer, as one would assume from the name. It has an excellent golden color to it. It doesn't look flat or tasteless like many other light beers. This is a light beer that you actually want to drink after looking at it. There isn't much of an aroma, but most light beers aren't very strong in that category. The beer itself is surprisingly flavorful. It's light, but it's not watery. It's satisfying enough to make you want to keep drinking, but it's not too heavy that you have to take your time. The finish is fairly clean with a slight beer-mouth after taste. The Greenfield American Light is pretty good. I'm usually not a fan of light beers, because they lack flavor. This one manages to provide a decent flavor while staying light. If I wanted something light (like at the end of a meal), this is what I would choose. It's the best light beer I've had in a long time.

Wow, that's a sign that I was REALLY tired last night. I can't believe I forgot to add that.

Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 740 North Plankinton Avenue, in picturesque downtown Milwaukee.

The burger was really good too.
